Are there assigned readings?
Nope! You can bring whatever you'd like to read, in whatever format you like. If you'd like recommendations, check out our member discussion board!
When do you meet?
We meet once a month at various locations throughout the Vancouver area - check our schedule page to view upcoming meetings!
What happens during a meeting?
We generally start with 30 minutes for everyone to grab snacks, drinks, and pick a seat - this is also a great chance to get to know everyone! Once everyone is settled, we enjoy an hour of silent reading. The meeting is officially over once the hour is up, but everyone is welcome to hang out for as long as they want!
Who can attend Silent Book Club?
Everyone is welcome! Some locations, such as local bars, may have age restrictions - please reach out to us or the venue if you're unsure. Children & pets are welcome at appropriate venues, but must be accompanied by an adult & remain non-disruptive during silent reading.

What can I expect at a meeting?
We bring small table signs to each meeting, to help make it easier for everyone to find the group - we also have free bookmarks! Depending on the location & amount of people, we may be spread across multiple spaces - feel free to grab a spot wherever you'd like.

Some people like to arrive early to chat before silent reading, others like to slip in right at the hour - everyone is welcome!
